Isopropyl Alcohol Product Overview
Isopropyl alcohol (C3H8O) is a clear, colorless, highly flammable liquid with a characteristic odor that boils at about 82°C and mixes completely with water. Unlike undenatured Ethanol, it is generally not subject to alcohol excise duty.
In addition, electronics producers use high-purity IPA to clean circuit boards, wafers and displays, and disinfectant producers use it at about 70% in hand and surface disinfectants. Similarly, pharmaceutical and cosmetic producers use it as a solvent and in toners and sprays, and ink, coating and adhesive producers use it as a solvent and thinner.
