Zinc Sulfate monohydrate (CAS 7446-19-7, min. 35% Zn) and heptahydrate (CAS 7446-20-0, min. 21% Zn) supplied wholesale by Zyntex. For feed premixes, fertilizers, viscose rayon, electroplating and pharmaceuticals. CoA and SDS.
Zinc sulfate is a white crystalline or granular powder that dissolves freely in water. The monohydrate (ZnSO4·H2O) contains at least 35% zinc, whereas the heptahydrate (ZnSO4·7H2O) contains at least 21%; the monohydrate is more concentrated and easier to store.
In addition, feed producers use it as the most common zinc source in premixes, and fertilizer producers use it to correct zinc deficiency in soils and in foliar sprays. Similarly, viscose rayon producers add it to the spinning bath, and metal finishers use it in zinc electroplating. Pharmaceutical companies also use it in oral zinc tablets and solutions, for example in WHO-recommended zinc therapy alongside oral rehydration.
Furthermore, other zinc compounds in our range include Zinc oxide, Zinc gluconate and Zinc Chloride.
Typical uses include, for example:
🐄 Animal Feed
Zinc source in premixes.
🌱 Fertilizers
Zinc micronutrient for soil as well as foliar use.
🧵 Viscose Rayon
Spin bath additive.
💊 Pharmaceuticals
API for oral zinc tablets as well as solutions.

⚠️ Safety & Handling: Harmful if swallowed, causes serious eye damage and is very toxic to aquatic life. Avoid dust formation and release to the environment, and also wear gloves and tight-fitting goggles. Store in tightly closed bags in a dry place. Always consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), because it contains the full classification and handling instructions.
Should I choose zinc sulfate monohydrate or heptahydrate?
The monohydrate contains more zinc and stores better, whereas the heptahydrate dissolves slightly faster and suits some liquid applications.
