Zinc Gluconate (CAS 4468-02-4), 97–102% with approx. 14% zinc, USP/EP/FCC, supplied wholesale by Zyntex. Mild-tasting zinc source for food fortification, nutritional products, oral care and cosmetics. CoA and SDS with every lot.
Zinc gluconate (C12H22O14Zn) is a white to off-white crystalline powder that dissolves in water. It contains about 14% zinc. Compared with inorganic zinc salts such as Zinc sulfate, it has a milder taste, which makes it suitable for products that people eat or keep in the mouth.
Food producers use it to fortify cereals, beverages and infant products, and producers of nutritional products use it in tablets, capsules and lozenges, where regulations govern the claims allowed. In oral care, it appears in toothpaste and mouthwash formulations.
Cosmetic formulators use it in skin care for oily and blemish-prone skin and in deodorants. For other gluconate and zinc salts, see Calcium gluconate and Zinc acetate.
