Solvent-free Ginger CO2 Extract (Zingiber officinale, CAS 84696-15-1), ≥25% gingerols, supplied wholesale by Zyntex. Supercritical extract for ginger beverages, food flavors, nutritional products and warming cosmetics. CoA and SDS.
Ginger CO2 extract is obtained from dried ginger rhizome by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. This process leaves no solvent residues and preserves both the pungent compounds, mainly gingerols and shogaols, and the fresh aroma of ginger. The extract is a viscous, amber to brown liquid standardized to at least 25% total gingerols.
Flavor houses use it in ginger ale, ginger beer, confectionery, bakery and savory products, because it combines authentic aroma with pungency. Producers of nutritional products use it in capsules and drinks, under the regulations of each market, and cosmetic formulators use it in warming body care products.
For other spice extracts in our range, see Turmeric Extract, Cassia Extract, Cardamom Extract and the pungent Capsicum extract.

Supercritical CO2 extraction leaves no solvent residues and keeps both the aroma and the pungent compounds close to fresh ginger.
What are gingerols?
