Diclazuril Product Overview
Diclazuril (C17H9Cl3N4O2) is a white to off-white crystalline powder that is practically insoluble in water. It is highly active against coccidia, so very low inclusion rates of about 1 mg per kg of feed are typical.
Feed additive producers formulate it into premixes for broilers, turkeys and rabbits, where it is authorized as a coccidiostat in the EU and other markets. Veterinary producers use it in oral suspensions for lambs and calves. Because inclusion rates are so low, the premix must be very homogeneous.
