Zinc Bacitracin Product Overview
Bacitracin is a mixture of cyclic polypeptides produced by fermentation with Bacillus licheniformis. Its zinc salt is a light brown to tan powder that is much more stable than bacitracin itself, which is why ointments and premixes usually contain the zinc form. Its strength is expressed in international units (IU) per milligram.
