Description
Silver Nitrate (AgNO3, CAS 7761-88-8) is the key soluble silver compound used in electronics, mirrors, catalysts, laboratories, photography and antimicrobial products. Zyntex is a wholesale supplier and distributor of Silver Nitrate with min. 99.8% purity, including ACS and pharmaceutical grades, with a CoA as well as an SDS for every lot.

Silver Nitrate Product Overview

Silver nitrate (AgNO3) forms colorless crystals that dissolve very easily in water and darken in light. It contains about 63.5% silver and is the starting point for most other silver compounds.

In addition, electronics producers use it to make silver powders, pastes and nanowires for conductive inks and solar cells, and mirror producers use it in silvering solutions. Similarly, catalyst producers use it for silver catalysts, laboratories use it in chloride titrations, medical producers use it in antimicrobial dressings and caustic sticks, and photographic and plating producers use it as a silver source.

Notably, related products in our range include Copper(II) Oxide, İndium Metal and Potassium Nitrate.

⚠️ Safety & Handling: Oxidizing solid that may intensify fire, causes severe skin burns and eye damage and is very toxic to aquatic life; stains skin black. Keep away from combustible materials, and also wear gloves, face protection and protective clothing. Store in tightly closed, light-resistant containers. Always consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS), because it contains the full classification and handling instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does silver nitrate stain skin?

Light reduces it to fine black silver particles on the skin.

Which grades do you supply?

Technical, ACS reagent and pharmaceutical grades.

How can I get a price and documents?

We supply flexible quantities, from small orders to large volumes, so you do not need to meet the high minimum orders of large producers. Please contact us with your required volume, and we will send a quotation together with the CoA and SDS.
