Prallethrin Product Overview
Prallethrin (C19H24O3) is a pale yellow to yellow-brown liquid that is practically insoluble in water and mixes with most organic solvents. It is a volatile pyrethroid with very fast knockdown action on flying insects.
Its volatility makes it ideal for heat-activated products: mosquito coils, electric liquid vaporizers and mats. It is also used in household aerosols, usually combined with slower-killing pyrethroids such as D-Phenothrin or Cypermethrin and the synergist Piperonyl butoxide (PBO).
