Pharmaceutical-grade Naloxone Hydrochloride Dihydrate (CAS 51481-60-8), 98–102%, supplied wholesale by Zyntex to licensed producers. Opioid antagonist API for overdose nasal sprays, injections and combination tablets. CoA and SDS.
Naloxone hydrochloride dihydrate (C19H21NO4·HCl·2H2O) is a white to off-white crystalline powder that is soluble in water. It blocks opioid receptors and rapidly reverses the effects of opioids.
Pharmaceutical companies use it in injections and nasal sprays for emergency treatment of opioid overdose; it is on the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines, and in many countries nasal sprays are available without prescription. It is also combined with opioids in some tablets to deter misuse. A related, longer-acting antagonist in our range is Naltrexone hydrochloride.
Naloxone itself is not a controlled substance in most countries, but it is derived from controlled opioid starting materials. Zyntex supplies it only to licensed pharmaceutical companies.
