Description
Lithium Difluorophosphate (LiPO2F2, CAS 24389-25-1) is a high-performance electrolyte additive for lithium-ion batteries that improves low-temperature power and cycle life. Zyntex is a wholesale supplier and distributor of battery-grade Lithium Difluorophosphate with min. 99.5% purity and low water content, with a CoA as well as an SDS for every lot.

Lithium Difluorophosphate Product Overview

Lithium difluorophosphate (LiPO2F2) is a white crystalline powder that dissolves only moderately in carbonate solvents. It forms thin, stable protective layers on both the cathode and the anode.

In addition, electrolyte producers add it at about 0.5–1.5% to electrolytes based on Lithium Hexafluorophosphate, Ethylene Carbonate and linear carbonates, often together with Vinylene Carbonate and Fluoroethylene Carbonate (FEC). It lowers cell resistance, especially at low temperatures, and reduces gas formation and capacity loss in high-voltage and fast-charging cells for electric vehicles.

Notably, related battery salts in our range include Lithium Bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (LiFSI) and LiTFSI (Lithium Bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide).

Key Applications of Lithium Difluorophosphate

Typical uses include, for example:

🚗 EV Cells

Fast charging and power.

❄️ Low-Temperature Performance

Lower cell resistance.

⚡ High-Voltage Cells

Less gassing.

🔬 Battery Research

Electrolyte development.
