Food-grade Calcium Cyclamate (CAS 139-06-0, E952), 98–101%, supplied wholesale by Zyntex. Sodium-free intense sweetener for tabletop blends, beverages, desserts and pharmaceutical syrups where permitted. CoA and SDS.
Calcium cyclamate is a white crystalline powder that dissolves freely in water and is stable to heat and over a wide pH range. As the calcium salt of cyclamic acid, it suits products where sodium content must be kept low.
Cyclamate is rarely used alone. It is typically blended with saccharin, often in a ratio of about 10:1, because each masks the aftertaste of the other, and it is also combined with Acesulfame and Sucralose. Typical applications include tabletop sweeteners, soft drinks, desserts and pharmaceutical syrups.
Regulatory status differs between markets: cyclamates are approved as E952 in the EU and in many other countries, but they are not permitted as sweeteners in the United States. Buyers must check local rules. For other sweeteners, see Xylitol and Stevia Extract.

Is calcium cyclamate allowed in the United States?
No. Cyclamates are approved in the EU (E952) and many other countries, but not in the United States. Buyers must check local regulations.
Why is cyclamate blended with saccharin?
Each sweetener masks the other’s aftertaste, so the blend tastes more like sugar than either alone.
