Description
Antioxidant 1010 (pentaerythritol tetrakis[3-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl)propionate], CAS 6683-19-8) is the most widely used primary antioxidant for plastics, rubber, adhesives and lubricants. Zyntex is a wholesale supplier and distributor of Antioxidant 1010 with min. 98% purity, as powder and granules, with a CoA as well as an SDS for every lot.

Antioxidant 1010 Product Overview

Antioxidant 1010 (C73H108O12) is a white, free-flowing powder or granule with a high molecular weight, which gives low volatility and low migration. Its four hindered phenol groups trap free radicals that form when polymers are heated or exposed to oxygen.

In addition, polymer producers and compounders add it at about 0.05–0.5% to polypropylene, polyethylene, ABS, polyamides, polyesters and PVC to protect them during processing and long-term use, often combined with phosphite secondary antioxidants. Similarly, adhesive, elastomer, wax and lubricant producers use it to prevent oxidation and discoloration. It is approved for many food-contact applications.

Notably, related additives in our range include BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene), Polyethylene Wax and Zinc Stearate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Antioxidant 1010 combined with phosphites?

The phenol traps radicals over the long term, while phosphites protect during high-temperature processing.

How much is used?

Typically about 0.05–0.5% of the polymer.

How can I get a price and documents?

We supply flexible quantities, from small orders to large volumes, so you do not need to meet the high minimum orders of large producers. Please contact us with your required volume, and we will send a quotation together with the CoA and SDS.
