Zirconium Acetate Product Overview
Zirconium acetate comes as a clear to slightly hazy aqueous solution with an adjustable zirconium content of 15–22%, expressed as ZrO2, and a pH of about 3.0–4.5. On drying and heating, it converts into zirconium oxide.
In addition, textile producers use it with paraffin emulsions in water-repellent finishes. Similarly, ceramic and coating producers use it as a precursor for zirconia layers and sol-gel coatings, and catalyst producers use it to deposit zirconium on supports. It also serves as a crosslinker in some polymer and paper applications.
