Levodropropizine Product Overview
Levodropropizine (C13H20N2O2) is a white or almost white crystalline powder that melts at about 60–63°C. It is the (S)-enantiomer of dropropizine, so chiral purity of at least 99.5% S-isomer is a key specification.
In addition, pharmaceutical companies use it in syrups, oral drops, tablets and granules for dry cough in several European, Asian and Latin American countries. Unlike centrally acting cough suppressants, it acts mainly on sensory nerves in the airways.
