Copper Oxychloride Product Overview
Copper oxychloride (basic copper chloride, Cu2Cl(OH)3) is a green to blue-green fine powder that is insoluble in water. Technical grades contain at least 50% or 58% copper, depending on the specification.
Agrochemical formulators use it in wettable powders, water-dispersible granules and suspension concentrates for protective treatment against fungal and bacterial diseases in vineyards, potatoes, citrus and vegetables. In the EU, copper compounds are approved with limits on the amount applied per hectare. Feed producers use a specific crystalline form, tribasic copper chloride, as a copper source in premixes.
