Sterile Cefotaxime Sodium (CAS 64486-18-6) supplied wholesale by Zyntex to licensed injectable producers. Third-generation cephalosporin API for vials for reconstitution, with sterility and endotoxin testing. CoA and SDS.
Cefotaxime sodium (C16H16N5NaO7S2) is a white to slightly yellowish powder that dissolves freely in water. It was one of the first third-generation cephalosporins and remains widely used in hospitals.
In addition, pharmaceutical companies fill the sterile powder into vials for reconstitution and intravenous or intramuscular injection. Similarly, related injectable cephalosporins in our range include Cefuroxime sodium, Cefazoline sodium and the fourth-generation Cefepime + Arginine Sterile.
Sterile beta-lactam production requires aseptic processing, dedicated facilities as well as sterility and endotoxin testing. Zyntex therefore supplies cefotaxime sodium only to licensed producers with these capabilities.
Typical uses include, for example:
💉 Injectables
Sterile API for vials for reconstitution.
