Betula Alba Oil (birch oil, CAS 84012-15-7 / 8001-88-5), rectified cosmetic grade, supplied wholesale by Zyntex. Natural birch oil for shampoos, scalp care, leather fragrances and traditional balms. CoA and SDS.
Betula alba oil comes from the bark and wood of the silver birch (Betula alba, also called Betula pendula). Depending on the process, it comes as a rectified bark oil or as a birch tar oil, and it has a characteristic smoky, leathery and balsamic aroma. It is a mobile, yellowish to brown liquid.
In addition, cosmetic formulators use birch oil in shampoos, scalp care and soaps, and perfumers use rectified birch tar oil for leather and smoky notes. Similarly, producers of traditional and herbal preparations use it in balms and ointments, within the limits set by regulations. Other natural oils and extracts in our range also include Basil Oil and Lavender extract.
Because crude birch tar oil can contain polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, cosmetic regulations allow only refined grades with controlled impurity levels. Zyntex therefore supplies the grade that matches your application and documents its specification.
