Natural Basil Oil (Ocimum basilicum, CAS 8015-73-4), linalool type with min. 45% linalool, supplied wholesale by Zyntex. Essential oil for savory flavors, fresh fragrances, aromatherapy and personal care. CoA and SDS with every lot.
Basil oil comes from steam distillation of the flowering herb Ocimum basilicum. The linalool-type oil supplied here is a pale yellow liquid with a sweet, fresh, herbaceous and slightly spicy aroma and contains at least 45% linalool, whereas other chemotypes are rich in methyl chavicol (estragole).
Flavor houses use it in sauces, pesto-style products, savory seasonings and beverages, while perfumers use it in fresh, green and aromatic fragrances. Similarly, aromatherapy and personal care brands use it in diffuser blends, soaps and lotions. Because estragole remains restricted in food flavorings, the linalool type with low estragole content suits food applications.
Furthermore, other natural aroma materials in our range include Lavender extract, Litsea Cubeba Oil and Cassia Extract.
Typical uses include, for example:
🍝 Flavors
Herbal note for sauces as well as seasonings.
🧴 Fragrances
Fresh green note in perfumes.
🌿 Aromatherapy
Essential oil for diffuser blends.
🧼 Personal Care
Fragrance in soaps as well as lotions.
