USP/NF and EP-grade Croscarmellose Sodium (CAS 74811-65-7) supplied wholesale by Zyntex. Superdisintegrant for tablets, capsules and orally disintegrating tablets. CoA and SDS with every lot.
Croscarmellose sodium is a white to off-white, free-flowing powder that is insoluble in water but swells rapidly to several times its volume when wet. This swelling breaks tablets apart quickly, which speeds up dissolution of the active ingredient.
In addition, pharmaceutical companies use it at about 0.5–5% in tablets made by direct compression or wet granulation, and in capsules and orally disintegrating tablets. Similarly, producers of nutritional tablets use it to meet disintegration requirements. It works well together with fillers such as Microcrystalline Cellulose (MCC) and Lactose Monohydrate and with lubricants such as Magnesium Stearate.
Because generic tablet producers need it in very different volumes, Zyntex supplies flexible quantities without high minimum orders. Related disintegrants in our range include Sodium Starch Glycolate.
Typical uses include, for example:
💊 Tablets
Superdisintegrant at 0.5–5%.
💊 Capsules
Faster capsule disintegration.
👅 ODTs
Orally disintegrating tablets.
🥤 Nutritional Tablets
Disintegration of vitamin tablets.

How does croscarmellose sodium work?
It swells rapidly in water and breaks the tablet apart, so the active ingredient dissolves faster.
How does it compare with sodium starch glycolate?
Both are superdisintegrants; the choice depends on the formulation, and some producers use them together.
How can I get a price and documents?
We supply flexible quantities, from small orders to large volumes, so you do not need to meet the high minimum orders of large producers. Please contact us with your required volume, and we will send a quotation together with the CoA and SDS.
