Pharmaceutical-grade Cimetidine (CAS 51481-61-9), min. 99%, supplied wholesale by Zyntex to licensed producers. First H2-receptor antagonist API for tablets, oral solutions, injections and veterinary products. CoA and SDS.
Cimetidine (C10H16N6S) is a white crystalline powder that is slightly soluble in water. Introduced in the 1970s, it was the first H2 blocker and transformed the treatment of stomach ulcers.
In addition, pharmaceutical companies use it in tablets, oral solutions and injections that reduce gastric acid, and veterinary producers use it in products for dogs and cats. However, because it inhibits several liver enzymes, it interacts with many other medicines, so newer H2 blockers such as Famotidine have largely replaced it in human use. Similarly, proton pump inhibitors such as Omeprazole are now common.
Notably, Zyntex supplies it from qualified API producers with lot-specific documentation, only to licensed pharmaceutical and veterinary companies.
Typical uses include, for example:
💊 Tablets
API for acid-reducing tablets.
🥄 Oral Solutions
API for liquid formulations.
💉 Injections
API for injectable products.
🐕 Veterinary Products
API for products for dogs as well as cats.
