Cellulase Product Overview
Cellulase is produced by fermentation with fungi such as Trichoderma reesei or Aspergillus niger and supplied as liquids or granulated powders. Its activity is stated in units, and grades differ in pH and temperature optimum.
In addition, textile processors use cellulases for denim stone-washing and bio-polishing of cotton, and detergent producers use them for color care and anti-pilling. Similarly, feed producers use them to improve fiber digestibility, juice, wine and brewing producers use them to improve extraction and filtration, and researchers use them in biomass conversion.
