Spironolactone Product Overview
Spironolactone (C24H32O4S) is a white to light tan crystalline powder that is practically insoluble in water. It is a steroid with a lactone ring and a thioacetyl group, and micronized grades improve its dissolution.
In addition, pharmaceutical companies use it in film-coated tablets and oral suspensions for cardiovascular, renal and hormonal indications, and in fixed combinations with thiazide diuretics.
