Sodium Hexafluorozirconate Product Overview
Sodium hexafluorozirconate (Na2ZrF6) is a white, odorless crystalline powder that dissolves only slightly in cold water and more in hot acidic solutions.
Surface treatment formulators use it as a solid zirconium and fluoride source in conversion coating and pickling products for aluminum and steel, where it complements Hexafluorozirconic acid. Foundries and metal producers use fluorozirconate salts in fluxes and grain refiners for aluminum and magnesium alloys. Enamel and glass producers use it as a flux and opacifier component.
